Watch The Silence Movie with Full HD Format

THE SILENCE begins 23 years ago on a hot summer day, when a young girl named Pia is brutally murdered in a field of wheat by Peer (Ulrich Thomsen-In a Better World, Fear Me Not), as his helpless friend Timo (Wotan Wilke Moehring-Soul Kitchen) watches. Now, in the present day, on the exact same date, 13-year-old Sinikka is missing, her bicycle abandoned in the same spot, leading police to suspect the same killer may be at work again. Recently widowed detective David (Sebastian Blombeg-The Baader Meinhof Complex) and his colleague Janna (Jule Boewe) struggle to solve the mystery of these parallel crimes with the help of Krischan (Burghart Klaussner-The White Ribbon, The Edukators), the retired investigator of the unresolved case. While Sinikka's distraught parents are trapped in an agonizing period of waiting and uncertainty, their daughter's fate rips open unhealed wounds in the heart of Pia's mother (Katrin Sass, Goodbye Lenin) and sends Timo in search of Peer and their own old desires. Review For The Silence

Nicely paced but rotely characterized.
J. R. Jones-Chicago Reader

The mysteries here are larger, deeper, more ineffable than the purely practical concerns of crime-solving: motive, means and opportunity.
Jim Emerson-Chicago Sun-Times

These are our modern tearjerkers, embellished with sexual violence to maintain the audience's sense of its own sophistication. Include me out.
Farran Smith Nehme-New York Post

A clear-eyed look at the hole that a death leaves behind, and the many awkward and always insufficient ways we try to fill it.
Stephen Whitty-Newark Star-Ledger

The Silence, an assured first feature from Swiss-born director Baran Bo Odar, has more on its mind than most crime thrillers.
Ella Taylor-NPR

"The Silence" is an exemplary German-language thriller, a complex and disturbing examination of guilt, violence and psychological torment that chills us to the core not once but two times over.
Kenneth Turan-Los Angeles Times

...an ambitious work that becomes fractured as all the story lines are laid out before us.
Robin Clifford-Reeling Reviews

In a field of clichéd psychological crime thrillers, The Silence stands out.
Jonah Flicker-Paste Magazine

With echoes of "The Vanishing" and "Memories of Murder," Baran bo Odar's dread-filled "The Silence" is a character-based thriller that focuses more on the people wrapped up in its web of perversion and murder than the crimes themselves.
Brian Tallerico-HollywoodChicago.com

This is a rare film that shows the murder and makes the audience feel the pain of the survivors, which is all to the good,...but it is unremittingly depressing.
Tony Medley-Tolucan Times

Directed with sharp precision and maturity, deftly balancing a large cast and refusing to give in to the station-to-station procedural aspects of the story.
Gabe Toro-The Playlist

What had seemed like a lackluster ensemble piece turns out to be an exercise in empathy ...
Mike D'Angelo-AV Club

Chilling stuff, the kind of thriller - like The Vanishing, let's say - that leaves you stunned and gulping.
Marshall Fine-Hollywood & Fine

The Silence speaks volumes.
David Fear-Time Out New York

The slightly dour tone is the perfect backdrop for the director to skillfully weave together his varied narrative strands in a surprisingly entertaining medley.
Andrew Schenker-Slant Magazine

A confidently paced film with a taut script that allows characterisation to develop with the performances rather than the dialogue.
John A. Riley-Electric Sheep
