Watch Tears of Gaza Movie with Full HD Format

Disturbing, powerful and emotionally devastating, Tears of Gaza is less a conventional documentary than a record-presented with minimal gloss - of the 2008 to 2009 bombing of Gaza by the Israeli military. Photographed by several Palestinian cameramen both during and after the offensive, this powerful film by director Vibeke Løkkeberg focuses on the impact of the attacks on the civilian population. Tears of Gaza makes no overriding speeches or analyses. The situation leading up to the incursion is never mentioned. Similar events certainly occurred in Dresden, Tokyo, Baghdad and Sarajevo, but of course Gaza isn't those places. Tears of Gaza demands that we examine the costs of war on a civilian populace. -- (C) Steve Gravestock

Movie Overview For Tears of Gaza

In a rough style, by way of unique footage, the brutal consequences of modern wars are exposed. The film also depicts the ability of women and children to handle their everyday life after a dramatic war experience. Many of them live in tents or in ruins without walls or roofs. They are all in need of money, food, water and electricity. Others have lost family members, or are left with seriously injured children. Can war solve conflicts or create peace? The film follows three children through the war and the period after the ceasefire.

Review For Tears of Gaza

This documentary's goals are noble ones, but its execution is something else again.
Kenneth Turan-Los Angeles Times

A brutally uncompromising blast of outrage, Vibeke Lokkeberg's "Tears of Gaza" is less a documentary than a collage of suffering.
Jeannette Catsoulis-New York Times

The cameras linger on the faces of children as they tell their stories, unaffected and open.
Chris Packham-Village Voice

A shattering anti-war movie that spotlights the too-soon death of innocence. Dispiritingly relevant and exceedingly effective in the gall and sadness it provokes.
Brent Simon-Shockya.com

The purpose of 'Tears of Gaza' is to make viewers uncomfortable and to take action instead of tuning out.
Donald J. Levit-ReelTalk Movie Reviews

Searing, Guernica-like evocation of the brutal war against Palestinian civilians by a rogue state.
Louis Proyect-rec.arts.movies.reviews

There's no coddling the audience in Vibeke Løkkeberg's verité heave of disgust as the full consequences on the Palestinian people of Operation Cast Lead are made sickeningly clear.
Andrew Schenker-Slant Magazine

Though outrageously biased (refusing to show how Hamas provoked a war with Israel), the graphic shots make for an indelible entry into the archive of anti-war films.
Harvey S. Karten-Compuserve
